Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Warns Against Criticizing Clerics

A sermon clip featuring Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, founder of Christ Embassy, has gained renewed attention online, particularly on 30 September 2026. In the clip, Oyakhilome cautions his congregation against criticizing ministers of the gospel, asserting that such actions can lead to spiritual consequences, including household sickness and family troubles.

He emphasized that a servant answers to their master and dismissed concerns about the legitimacy of self-proclaimed clerics. The timing of this clip's resurgence coincides with a public dispute between social media activist Verydarkman and Apostle Arome Osayi, which has polarized opinions on social media.

Oyakhilome concluded his message by affirming the resilience of the church, stating, "the church never and will never be defeated." The video has elicited varied responses, with some viewers finding solace in his words while others expressed dissent.
