Pan-Atlantic University's Media School Marks 20 Years

The School of Media and Communication (SMC) at Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month with a series of events aimed at uniting academics, media professionals, students, alumni, and industry partners. The anniversary marks two decades of the school's impact on media and communication education in Nigeria and Africa.
The celebrations will commence with the Prof. Biakolo International Conference on Communication in Marriage and Family on October 21 at the main campus in Ibeju, Lekki, Lagos. This conference will gather scholars and practitioners to discuss the significance of communication in marriage and family life.
On October 22, an anniversary cocktail will allow alumni and stakeholders to reflect on SMC's journey and future priorities. The anniversary will conclude with community outreach activities from November 2 to 6, involving staff, students, and alumni in service initiatives.
Dr Ikechukwu Obiaya, the Dean, emphasized the milestone's significance and the school's commitment to future media education and professional practice.
