Osita Iheme Named Internet Legend for Viral Moment

Osita Iheme, popularly known as Pawpaw, has been included in a global list of children who became internet legends due to a single viral moment, as shared by Realibity on Instagram on September 3. Iheme gained fame in his 20s for portraying the character Pawpaw in the 2002 Nollywood comedy "Aki na Ukwa," where he starred alongside Chinedu Ikedieze, who played Aki.

The film was a major success, establishing both actors as prominent figures in Nollywood for their comedic roles as mischievous children. Years later, Pawpaw found renewed popularity online as scenes featuring his facial expressions and reactions became widely circulated on social media.

His images transformed into popular reaction memes, often used to convey confusion, disbelief, frustration, and excitement, introducing him to a younger global audience unfamiliar with the Nollywood films that originally made him famous.
