Pete Edochie Names Awolowo His Favorite Politician
Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has expressed his admiration for Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the former Premier of the defunct Western Region, calling him his favorite Nigerian politician. In a recent episode of a show hosted by content creator BaeU, Edochie highlighted Awolowo's significant contributions to Nigeria, including the establishment of the first television station in Africa in 1959 and the introduction of free primary education.
Edochie lamented that despite Awolowo's impressive achievements, he never won a presidential election. He emphasized Awolowo's transparency in governance, stating that Awolowo would clearly outline project costs and funding sources.
Edochie's remarks reflect a deep respect for Awolowo's legacy and his impact on Nigerian society.
