Bandits Threaten Northern Community with N20m Demand, Residents Fear Violence

Bandits have issued a fresh warning to the Bakal village in Kilgori district, Yabo local government area in Northern Nigeria, demanding N20 million to avert an attack. The group threatened to kill residents if the payment is not made, stating that it is meant to prevent violence.

Several villages in the region have received similar demands ranging from three to twenty million naira. The security situation in Nigeria continues to deteriorate, with concerns raised about the government's response to escalating threats.
