Bandits Demand N20 Million Levy in Sokoto, Threaten Violence

Bandits in Sokoto State's Bakal Kilgori district have imposed a N20 million levy on a community in Yabo Local Government Area, demanding payment to prevent attacks. The bandit leader warned of violence if the community fails to comply, threatening to attack, kill, and abduct people.

Several neighboring villages have also received similar demands ranging from N3 million to N20 million. The bandits have issued a warning to the affected communities, emphasizing the consequences of non-compliance.
