PDP, APC Trade Vote-Buying Accusations In Adamawa By-Election

The Adamawa by-election saw the PDP and APC engaging in a war of words over allegations of vote-buying. The APC accused the PDP of attempting to sway voters with money, while the PDP denied the claims and accused the APC of having the upper hand.

The Ganye Local Government Chairman, Farouk Mohammed, spoke out against the APC's alleged actions. However, the APC's Adamawa State Organising Secretary, Mustapha Ribadu, dismissed the accusations as political propaganda.

Despite the heated atmosphere, polling commenced smoothly with elderly voters patiently waiting in long queues. INEC was commended for maintaining order at polling units, although security operatives were present to prevent major disruptions.

Soldiers were reported to have maintained calm in the area by restricting vehicular movement.
