PDP rejects Babura/Garki by-election results, alleges vote buying, voter intimidation

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jigawa State has officially rejected the results of the Babura/Garki by-election, alleging vote buying and voter intimidation. In a statement signed by the PDP State Publicity Secretary Umar Kyari Jitau Madamuwa, the party condemned the conduct of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner.

The PDP claimed that the ruling APC manipulated the process by using state resources, engaging in widespread vote buying, and intimidating voters throughout the election period. The party stated that this compromised the integrity of the electoral process and urged its supporters to remain calm while exploring legal and political avenues to challenge the outcome.

INEC has not yet responded to the PDP's claims.
