PDP's Muhammad Abdullahi Mondai Seeks Kogi East Senate Seat

Muhammad Abdullahi Mondai, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, has officially expressed his intention to contest for the Kogi East senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections by purchasing nomination forms in Abuja. His decision to enter the race follows extensive consultations with stakeholders across the constituency.

Abdullahi aims to unseat the incumbent senator, Jibrin Isah of the All Progressives Congress, who is seeking a third term in office. He emphasized his genuine desire to serve and provide quality representation for the people of Kogi East, highlighting the need for deeper development in the region.

Abdullahi's campaign will focus on grassroots connections, philanthropy, and improving access to education and basic amenities. He pledged to prioritize infrastructure development, youth engagement, and job creation, calling on PDP members and voters in the senatorial district to rally behind him for transparent leadership and equitable representation.
