Court Halts Hearing in Legal Battle Over PDP Leadership, Pending Appeal Decision

The Federal High Court in Abuja halted further proceedings in a suit challenging the Kabiru Turaki-led PDP national executive. The faction loyal to Nyesom Wike sought injunctions against Turaki's group, including restraining them from representing the PDP.

Legal counsels, including Chri Uch and Onyeachi Ikpeazu, presented arguments regarding jurisdiction and appeal processes. The court adjourned the case pending a decision from the Court of Appeal.

The suit also involved requests to stop police and DSS interference and to prevent INEC from accepting the faction's office address at the PDP secretariat in Abuja.
