Bode George Critiques Appeal Court Ruling on PDP Crisis

Bode George, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), expressed his absolute disgust and disheartenment regarding a recent Appeal Court ruling that upheld a Federal High Court decision nullifying the PDP's 2025 national convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State. During an interview on EAGLE 102.5 FM in Iles-Ijebu, he accused the judiciary of undermining justice and fair rule of law in Nigeria.

The Appeal Court's ruling recognized Kabiru Tanimu Turaki as the national chairman, arguing that the party failed to comply with constitutional guidelines for organizing the event. George criticized the judgment as disgraceful and called for the party to reconcile and return to a consent judgment.

He linked the PDP's internal crisis to historical mismanagement and greed, urging younger generations not to ignore these lessons. He emphasized the party's commitment to reconciliation and the necessity of exploring a reconciliatory team to engage factions, echoing recent moves by PDP trustees to restore unity ahead of the 2027 elections.
