Abba Moro: PDP Crisis Driven by Internal Forces, Not Outsiders

Abba Moro, the Senate Minority Leader, stated in an interview that the current crisis within the People's Democratic Party (PDP) is primarily caused by its own members, particularly governors and lawmakers, rather than external influences. He highlighted that the recurring crises affecting the PDP are self-inflicted and that party leaders play a central role in creating and worsening these issues.

Moro explained that the visible turmoil within the party stems from its internal dynamics, particularly regarding leadership positions and the conduct of senior party figures. He firmly rejected claims of a split within the PDP, asserting that it remains a single, unified entity.

Moro's comments reflect earlier internal conflicts, particularly surrounding a controversial convention held in Ibadan, which intensified the party's challenges despite a court order prohibiting the event. The court later ruled the convention invalid, nullifying its outcomes.
