Abba Moro Affirms Peace Efforts in PDP Amidst Crises

Abba Moro, the Senate Minority Leader, addressed the ongoing efforts to stabilize the People's Democratic Party (PDP) during the party's national convention held in Abuja. He remarked that individuals who insisted there would be no peace within the PDP have departed, indicating a gradual improvement in the party's situation.

Moro's comments were made amidst a backdrop of internal challenges and reconciliation efforts within the party. He commended Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, for his loyalty to the PDP despite prolonged crises.

The statement was delivered during the 106th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, which was organized by Abdulrahman Moha, amidst rival factions within the party. Moro warned against clandestine maneuvers and emphasized the need for transparency as the party prepares for its upcoming national convention.

Wike's camp remains open to reconciliation while dismissing accusations regarding the APC administration's influence within the PDP.
