Abba Moro: PDP Crisis is Self-Inflicted, Not External

Abba Moro, a leader within the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has attributed the current crisis within the party to self-inflicted issues rather than external factors. In an interview on Thursday, Moro highlighted that the visible turmoil is a product of internal dynamics, with key party members, including governors and lawmakers, bearing significant responsibility for the situation.

He dismissed claims that the party is facing a split or factionalism, asserting that despite internal disagreements, the PDP remains united. Moro's comments reflect earlier disputes within the party, particularly surrounding a controversial convention held in Ibadan, which deepened the party's challenges.

This convention took place despite a court order that restrained its conduct, which was subsequently nullified by the court of appeal. Moro's statements underscore the need for the PDP to address its internal divisions to stabilize the party's future.
