Turaki Faction Challenges Wike Over PDP Leadership Claims

Ibrahim Abdullahi, the former Deputy National Public Secretary of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), representing the Turaki-led faction, publicly challenged Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to attempt shutting down their office. This challenge came during an interview on Thursday, following Wike's comments made during a media parley in Abuja on Wednesday, where he questioned the legitimacy of the Turaki group's claim to authentic leadership within the PDP.

Abdullahi emphasized that no faction can unilaterally establish party structures or operate from the national headquarters. He stated that the Turaki group is already functioning from a known office location and warned that any attempt by Wike to seal off their property would lead to chaos, describing such actions as potentially leading to anarchy.
