Wike Assures PDP Readiness for Supreme Court Challenges

On October 31, 2025, Nyesom Wike, a key member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, responded to the Taminu Turaki-led faction's grievances. Wike emphasized that the PDP is ready to confront any legal challenges, particularly if the aggrieved members decide to escalate their disputes to the Supreme Court.

This statement came after the Turaki faction filed nine appeals against a recent court ruling in Abuja, which involved the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the outcomes of the 2025 national convention of the PDP. Wike's remarks indicate the party's commitment to resolving internal conflicts and maintaining unity, despite the ongoing legal battles, which have already incurred costs totaling N18 million, including N2 million from the latest court decision.
