PDP Confident in Supreme Court Ruling on Leadership Crisis

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has reacted to a recent Supreme Court ruling concerning its ongoing leadership crisis. The party, particularly a faction loyal to the Oyo State Governor, expressed confidence that the Supreme Court will ultimately rule in its favor.

This statement was made public on Wednesday from the party's national secretariat. The Supreme Court's ruling pertains to an appeal filed by the PDP, which seeks to nullify a convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State, in November 2025.

A five-member panel led by a presiding judge announced that the date for the judgment will be communicated later. Ememobong, a representative of the party, urged members to maintain calm and keep hope alive, reiterating that the Supreme Court has always served as the last hope for the common man.

The statement emphasized the judiciary's role in preserving multi-party democracy and preventing the entrenchment of a single-party state in Nigeria.
