PDP Faction Names Mao Ohuabunwa as New BoT Chair in Abuja Meeting

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) faction, led by Nyesom Wike, appointed Mao Ohuabunwa as the new Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) following the dissolution of the previous board headed by Adolphus Wabara. The decision was made during a factional meeting in Abuja attended by party stalwarts like Jim Nwobodo, Samuel Ortom, and Okezie Ikpeazu.

The move aims to rebuild the party's moral foundation and restore internal democracy. The previous BoT was criticized for losing moral balance and neutrality, prompting the need for a new leadership direction.
