Saraki Urges PDP to Accept Court Ruling and Convene

Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President and a leader within the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has called for the party to accept the recent Appeal Court verdict that voided its national convention held in Ibadan. He emphasized the urgency of organizing a fresh national convention to align with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) guidelines, especially given the approaching national elections.

Saraki noted that the PDP cannot afford to delay awaiting a Supreme Court decision, as this would jeopardize the party's ability to nominate candidates in time. He advised party leaders to reflect on the Appeal Court's decision, which he believes should mark the end of litigation stress and allow the party to focus on preparing for the elections.

Saraki warned against personal egos undermining the party's objectives and stressed the importance of unity and collaboration to ensure that PDP members can contest elections effectively.
