PDP Expels Wike, Fayose, and Others Ahead of 2027 Elections

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled prominent members like Nyesom Wike and Ayo Fayose, among others, as part of efforts to sanitize the party before the 2027 elections. The decision was made during a National Working Committee meeting in Abuja, following the ratification of the expulsions that originated from the party's national convention in Ibadan, Oyo State, in November 2025.

The move aims to enforce discipline and prevent internal sabotage within the party. The list of expelled members includes key figures like Samuel Anyanwu, Umaru Batur, Kamarudeen Ajibad, and Dan Orbih.
