PDP Staff Support Turaki-Led NWC Despite Court Ruling in Ibadan

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) staff have expressed their support for the leadership of Kabiru Tanimu Turaki in the face of a court ruling in Ibadan. The staff rejected the court's decision and reiterated their loyalty to the National Working Committee (NWC) led by Turaki, which was elected during the party's national convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State, in November 2025.

The staff emphasized the validity of the decisions made at the convention, citing the party's constitution and Supreme Court judgments affirming the party's autonomy in internal affairs. They criticized the court ruling as unusual and raised concerns about judicial interference in party matters.

The staff highlighted their compliance with electoral laws and procedures, including notifying the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) about the party's leadership structure. They called for the preservation of the Turaki-led NWC's legitimacy and urged the National Judicial Council (NJC) to caution judges against actions that could disrupt the party's activities.
