Adenuga Urges Jonathan to Avoid Presidential Race

David Adenuga, a political actor from Bauchi State, has written an open letter to former President Goodluck Jonathan, advising him to ignore calls for a return to the presidential race. Adenuga cautions that engaging in such a pursuit could tarnish Jonathan's legacy, which he has built over the years through public service and his landmark decision to concede defeat in the 2015 elections.

He stresses that Jonathan should prioritize national interest over partisan calculations and not allow himself to be used by desperate political elements. Adenuga claims that those advocating for Jonathan's return are damaging their own reputations and warns that Jonathan's involvement in the race could stain his legacy.

The letter also references the recent emergence of Kabiru Turaki as a presidential candidate for the People's Democratic Party, following a special convention held in Abuja to ratify nominations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
