PDP Leadership Crisis Deepens as National Secretary and Three Others Suspended

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) is embroiled in a leadership crisis as the National Working Committee (NWC) suspends its National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, and three others. The suspension follows a decision by a Federal High Court to halt the party's national convention.

Fresh divisions have emerged within the party, with Anyanwu's faction backing the suspension of the acting national chairman, Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagum. The NWC has appointed Setonji Koshoedo as the acting National Secretary.

The party also issued a reprimand to members engaging in anti-party activities. The decision was announced by the PDP National Public Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, after an emergency NWC meeting in Abuja.
