PenCom and PenOp Launch PENCAP Data Recapture Self-Service Platform for RSA Holders

The National Pension Commission (PenCom) and the Pension Operators Association of Nigeria (PenOp) have introduced the PENCAP Data Recapture Self-Service Platform. This online application, launched on February 1, 2026, allows Retirement Savings Account (RSA) holders to update their personal records without visiting Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs).

The platform targets RSA holders who joined the Contributory Pension Scheme after July 1, 2019, and have not undergone the data recapture process. PenCom emphasizes the importance of accurate data for efficient pension administration, citing challenges posed by data inconsistencies and incomplete records.

The initiative aims to provide a proactive solution, ensuring secure and convenient data recapture to enhance the quality and reliability of contributor records across PFAs. The exercise, which began in August 2019, aligns with the government's directive for data generation and harmonization with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
