PenCom and ICPC Collaborate to Drive Compliance with Pension Scheme in Nigeria

The National Pension Commission (PenCom) and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) are partnering to boost compliance with the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) in Nigeria. PenCom's Director-General, Omolola Oloworaran, highlighted efforts to expand compliance through initiatives like regular roundtable discussions with stakeholders such as the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC).

The collaboration aims to increase awareness, improve enforcement, and deepen recovery exercises to ensure pension contributors' rights are protected. Oloworaran emphasized the importance of sustaining workers' dignity in retirement and enhancing the pension industry through health insurance integration.
