PenCom to Expand Personal Pension Plan for Nigerian Workers, Introduces Dollar Pension Scheme

The National Pension Commission (PenCom) in Nigeria, led by Director-General Omolola Oloworaran, revealed plans to expand the Personal Pension Plan (PPP) to provide more flexibility and inclusivity for Nigerian workers. The PPP is designed to cater to individuals not covered by the mandatory Contributory Pension scheme, including self-employed professionals and those in non-traditional employment arrangements.

The initiative seeks to encourage voluntary contributions and enhance retirement security. PenCom also introduced a Dollar Pension Scheme targeting the Nigerian diaspora to drive growth and inclusivity.

The move aligns with PenCom's vision to ensure all Nigerian workers enjoy a secure retirement.
