PenCom and ICPC Partner to Enhance Pension Compliance and Recover Unremitted Funds

The Nigerian Pension Commission (PenCom) and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) have joined forces in a strategic partnership to improve compliance in Nigeria's pension system. Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in Abuja, the collaboration aims to address unremitted funds and enhance enforcement against defaulting employers.

PenCom's Director-General, Omolola Oloworaran, emphasized the importance of rebuilding public confidence and ensuring transparency in managing pension assets. The partnership signifies a shared responsibility to protect the trust and savings of millions of Nigerian workers.

The agreement outlines coordinated efforts for information sharing, investigations, fund recoveries, and prosecution of defaulters to ensure full compliance across public and private sectors.
