Nottingham Forest Appoints Vitor Pereira as Coach

Vitor Pereira has been announced as the new coach of Nottingham Forest on an 18-month deal, making him the club's fourth manager of the current campaign. The 57-year-old Portuguese coach takes over following the dismissal of Sean Dyche on Thursday, with the team currently positioned 17th in the Premier League, just three points above the relegation zone.

Nottingham Forest has won only two of their last ten games. Pereira's first training session is scheduled for Monday, and his initial match in charge will be the first leg of the Europa League knockout round playoff against his former club, Fenerbahçe, in Turkey on Thursday.

Following this, the team will host a Premier League match on Sunday, February 22. This appointment breaks a record, as no club in Premier League history has completed a season with four different permanent managers.

Pereira previously managed Fenerbahçe and has a varied coaching career across several countries, including a stint at Olympiacos, where he won the Greek Cup in the 2014-15 season.
