Pete Edochie Dismisses Latest Death Hoax as Baseless

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has once again addressed a fresh death hoax, labeling the rumor as baseless and expressing frustration over the persistent misinformation. This latest false report is part of a long-standing pattern of hoaxes surrounding the actor, who has faced similar claims since 2012, including a version alleging he died in a road mishap abroad.

Edochie, who is fondly referred to as "Ebubedike," remains active in the movie industry and is celebrated for his contributions to Nigerian cinema. In a phone interview with newsmen, he expressed his displeasure regarding the ongoing rumors, stating he will die only when his maker calls him home.

He recounted a distressing incident when a caller mistakenly informed his wife of his death while she was preparing for church service. Edochie, who will celebrate his 79th birthday on March 7, cited his family's history of longevity, noting that his father lived to 96 years.
