Peter Obi Urges JAMB to Resolve UTME Registration Issues

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has voiced significant concerns over the challenges students are experiencing with the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration. He called on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to take urgent action to address these administrative lapses that have led to considerable hardship for students.

Obi's remarks followed a visit to a registration center in Awka, where he observed a large crowd of confused students still facing issues. He noted that the problems are not confined to one state and urged JAMB to adopt a balanced approach to resolve the situation.

Obi emphasized the urgency of the matter, particularly with the registration deadline set for February 26, warning that students from remote communities might miss their exams due to these ongoing challenges. He called for immediate intervention to prevent jeopardizing the academic futures of young people, stressing that students should not suffer due to systemic failures.
