Peter Obi Gears Up for 2027 Presidential Race

Former 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has intensified political consultations ahead of the 2027 presidential race in Nigeria. Obi is expected to make an official announcement regarding his political platform in November 2025.

He recently met with former President Goodluck Jonathan and sought his support for the upcoming race. Additionally, Obi briefed former President Olusegun Obasanjo, requesting his continued support.

Obi's consultations extend to other prominent political figures, traditional rulers, and former military leaders, including General Ibrahim Babangida and General Yakubu Gowon. These engagements aim to garner support and endorsements for Obi's potential bid in the 2027 general election.
