Peter Obi and Allies Register with ADC in Awka

On a recent date, Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, along with Victor Umeh, a former lawmaker, and Ben Obi, participated in the official registration for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Awka, Anambra State. During the event, they emphasized the need for members to return to their wards and recruit new members.

Peter Obi registered at Agulu Ward 2 in Anaocha Local Government Area, while Victor Umeh registered at Aguluzigbo Ward 1, and Ben Obi registered at Agulu Awka in Awka South Local Government Area. They expressed their commitment to challenge the recently passed 2026 Electoral Act in court, alleging it was designed to manipulate the outcome of the 2027 general elections.

Obi criticized the new law for potentially facilitating electoral manipulation and vowed to ensure that the electoral process is fair and transparent. The ADC leaders called for unity among opposition parties to secure a better future for Nigeria.
