Petrol Price Hits ₦950/Liter at MRS Stations Amid Dangote Refinery Supply Cost Surge

The retail price of petrol has risen to ₦950 per liter at MRS stations in Abuja, owned by Aliko Dangote's half-brother, Sayyu Dantata, following a hike in supply costs from Dangote Refinery. This increase is attributed to recent price adjustments by the refinery, causing a ripple effect on fuel prices across Nigeria.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) also recently raised pump prices due to supply disruptions. Depot owners in Lagos and Warri have consequently increased ex-depot prices, leading to higher petrol costs nationwide.
