Nigerian Petroleum Ministry Goes Paperless and Fully Automated to Boost Efficiency in Oil Sector

The Nigerian Ministry of Petroleum Resources has launched a plan to fully automate its operations and transition to a paperless system, aiming to improve efficiency and transparency in the oil and gas sector. This initiative, led by Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Heineken Lokpobiri, involves the implementation of an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system to digitize workflows and engage stakeholders securely.

The move is expected to streamline processes, reduce bureaucratic delays, and minimize manual operations, ultimately cutting costs and enhancing communication within the ministry. The project is part of efforts to transform analog processes into digital ones and strengthen public service effectiveness.
