Bauchi Governor Visits Oyo Counterpart Over Abductions

On a visit to Oyo State, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed met with Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde to express condolences regarding the recent abduction of a teacher and pupils in Oriir Local Government Area. Accompanied by leaders from the People's Movement, including the party's national chairman Yusuf Mamman Dantal and Bauchi State governorship candidate Yakubu Adamu, Governor Mohammed called for a re-evaluation of the nation's security architecture to better protect citizens.

He commended Governor Makinde's efforts in securing the release of the abducted individuals and expressed optimism about their safe return. The visit was prompted by growing concerns over the ongoing insecurity affecting schools and communities, with political leaders and civil society groups urging immediate action to address these issues.

Mohammed conveyed solidarity from the people of Bauchi State and encouraged continued efforts to rescue the victims.
