Obasanjo, Jonathan, Sanusi Attend Murtala Muhammed's 50th Memorial Event

The 50th memorial of late Nigerian leader Murtala Muhammed was graced by prominent figures including former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, as well as former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and his wife Dolapo Osinbajo. Also in attendance were the 14th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, and other dignitaries.

The event, held at the Secretariat of the Government of the Federation, commemorated Muhammed's rule from July 1975 to February 1976 before his assassination. International participants like Malawian President Joyce Banda and former Ghanaian President John Kufuor were present, highlighting the significance of Muhammed's legacy in African leadership.

The memorial also honored Muhammed's daughter, Dr. Isha Moham Oyebad, and the late Head of State's wife, Hajia Ajok Muham.
