Peter Obi Supports Malami Amid Ongoing Legal Trials

Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate, visited Abubakar Malami, the former Attorney General of the Federation, to express support during Malami's ongoing legal proceedings. The visit occurred as Malami faces two separate cases, including allegations of terror financing and illegal firearm possession, as well as a fraud case involving N8.7 billion in money laundering.

The meeting took place in Abuja and included discussions that were not made public. The Federal High Court in Abuja is currently handling Malami's trial, where prosecution witnesses, including compliance officers from Union Bank and Access Bank, are set to testify regarding transactions linked to accounts associated with Meethaq Hotel Ltd and Rayhaan Bustan entities.

During the court session, Malami's wife and son were present, and the matter was adjourned for further proceedings on April 20, with Justice Joyce Abdulmalik admitting several documents into evidence.
