NAAPE Challenges Senator Kalu Over Allegations of Pilot Substance Abuse in Nigeria

The National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE) has called out Senator Orji Uzor Kalu to provide evidence or withdraw his claims of substance abuse among Nigerian pilots. NAAPE's President, Captain Bunmi Gindeh, emphasized the lack of proof and urged Kalu to verify his allegations through appropriate authorities like the NCAA and NSIB.

The association defended the professionalism and dedication of Nigerian pilots to safety, highlighting the rigorous screening processes they undergo. NAAPE seeks a public clarification on existing drug and alcohol testing procedures for pilots to dispel misconceptions.
