Plateau State Arraigns Four for Angwan Rukuba Killings

The Plateau State government has arraigned four suspects in connection with the Angwan Rukuba killings, filing terrorism charges against them. The arraignment took place at the Plateau State High Court, presided over by Justice Philemon Audu Daffi, amid heavy security.

The suspects, identified as Isa Umar, Ibrahim Auwalu (also known as Auwalu Dogo), Abubakar Musa, and Abubakar Ibrahim (known as Yaroro), were arrested between April 3 and April 10, 2026. They face charges of criminal conspiracy to commit terrorism-related offenses, as outlined in the court documents.

The charges are punishable under sections 269 and 270 of the Penal Code Law of Plateau State, 2017. The state attorney general emphasized that the suspects' actions contravened the provisions of the law governing terrorism-related offenses in the state.

The court proceedings commenced under tight security measures to ensure safety.
