Plateau Police Enforce Ban on Night Grazing and Mining

In response to recent violent attacks in Plateau State, specifically in Anguwan Rukuba, Jos South, and the Nyamgo Gyel community in Jos North, the Plateau State Police Command has announced a ban on night grazing and mining activities. This decision follows the killing of several individuals, including farmers and herders, during attacks on Wednesday and Friday nights.

SP Alabo Alfr, the police spokesperson, confirmed the latest incidents and assured that the command has initiated a manhunt for the assailants. The ban is part of proactive measures to safeguard lives and property, with an emphasis on enforcing a total ban on commercial motorcycle operations within the Jos Bukuru metropolis.

The police have urged residents to comply with these restrictions to avoid unnecessary movement, especially during the ongoing Easter celebrations.
