Plateau State Targets 50,000 Digital Jobs Initiative

Plateau State, under the leadership of Governor Caleb Mutfwang, is targeting the creation of 50,000 digital jobs through a strategic partnership with Outsource Global. The initiative was announced during a meeting with Amal Hassan, the founder and CEO of Outsource Global, who noted Nigeria's growing reputation as a competitive destination for outsourcing services.

The program has already gained momentum, receiving approximately 6,000 applications within the first week of recruitment. The initiative aims to develop a skilled workforce and create a comprehensive employment pipeline, with at least 2,000 participants expected to secure international placements.

Additionally, a six-month internship model will enhance employability. Governor Mutfwang emphasized the importance of skill acquisition and formal certification, aiming to include diverse demographics, including housewives.

The program is expected to stimulate broader economic activity and create a ripple effect across various sectors in Plateau State.
