Plateau Youths Warn Fulani Groups Against Inciting Statements Amid Ethnic Tensions

The Concerned Plateau Youths Council (CPYC) issued a warning to various Fulani groups, including the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), against making inciting statements that could fuel crises in the state. The CPYC expressed concern over baseless allegations by Fulani groups, accusing them of altering the narrative to portray themselves as victims rather than aggressors in violent clashes across the state.

The youth group criticized MACBAN for accusing the Berom tribe of harboring ethnic militias aimed at targeting Fulani herdsmen. CPYC highlighted the need for truth and accountability in addressing the ongoing conflicts and urged all parties to refrain from making statements that could incite further violence.
