PlayStation to End Production of Physical Game Discs by 2028

The decision is a response to changing consumer behavior, supported by data indicating that nearly four out of five full game purchases on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 were made digitally in the past year. The announcement comes shortly after Rockstar Games revealed that the eagerly awaited Grand Theft Auto VI will include a physical edition that contains a digital download code instead of an actual game disc.
