Police Arraign 63-Year-Old Brothel Owner in Asaba

On July 4, 2026, the Delta State Police Command arraigned 63-year-old Princ Chizoba Ojokwu, the proprietor of Princ Tarvan 50 brothel, along with 29 other suspects at the Asaba Magisterial District Court. They were charged with running a brothel and procuring women and girls for prostitution, offenses punishable under sections 224 and 223 of the Criminal Code Law Cap C21 Vol Law Delta State Nigeria 2006.

The operation, led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, was conducted based on credible intelligence targeting identified criminal hotspots in Asaba. A total of 202 individuals were arrested during the operation, with 172 suspects screened and released unconditionally.

The Delta State Police Command, under Commissioner Yemi Oyeniyi, reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring law enforcement and maintaining public peace and security, warning that operations against criminal hideouts will continue.
