Niger Police Arrest 16 Suspects for Terrorizing Residents

The Niger State Police Command has arrested 16 suspects accused of terrorizing residents in Minna, Niger State. The arrests occurred during a house-to-house sting operation conducted between 2 AM on March 31 and April 2, 2026. The suspects were apprehended in various locations, including Najeem Yakubu Kuta Road, Zakari Hussaini Kuta Road, Idri Saidu Sabongari, Naziru Kabiru Angwan Sarki, Shehu Sulaiman Ogbomosho Road, and Ana Abubakar Kotun Bola. The police recovered several weapons from the suspects, including two cutlasses, a sickle, a saw, and three sticks. The police spokesman, Wasiu Abiodun, stated that the suspects are currently under investigation and will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Minna for further investigation and prosecution.
