Terrorists Kill 26, Burn Police Station in Niger Attack

On February 14, 2026, terrorists launched an attack in the Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, resulting in the deaths of no fewer than 26 individuals. The assault began in the Feyi Community on Friday, where armed men on motorcycles opened fire, leading to chaos as villagers fled.

Reports indicate that six people were killed during the initial attack, and the assailants later moved to Tungan Makeri and Konkoso villages, where they continued their rampage. In addition to the fatalities, the terrorists set a police station ablaze and abducted an unspecified number of individuals.

The Niger State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that reports were received around 3 AM. A military helicopter was later deployed to the area to assist in the situation.
