780 Arrested as PSG Celebrations Turn Violent in France

Following Paris Saint-Germain's (PSG) UEFA Champions League victory, police arrested 780 individuals across France as celebrations turned violent. The unrest involved clashes between mobs and law enforcement, with approximately 22,000 police deployed nationwide.

Interior Minister Laurent Nunez reported that 57 security personnel were injured, with 219 participants also sustaining injuries, including eight in serious condition. The celebrations were marred by a tragic incident where a young man died following a motorcycle accident on the Paris ring road, and another individual was wounded by a blade weapon.

This incident marked a 32% increase in arrests compared to PSG's Champions League win the previous year. The unrest reflects ongoing tensions during major sporting celebrations in France.
