Man Arrested for Kidnapping and Raping Job Seeker

The River State Police Command arrested 24-year-old Otamiri Princ in connection with the alleged kidnapping and rape of 24-year-old Thoma Alic, a female job seeker. The incident occurred on January 3, 2026, after Alic met Princ online and agreed to meet him at a location in Igwuruta. Upon arrival, she was lured into the bush by Princ and an accomplice, where she was assaulted and raped. Following the incident, Alic reported the crime on April 11, 2026, prompting the police to initiate an investigation. Utilizing technology-driven strategies, the police, led by Inspector General Olatunji Rilwan Disu, arrested Princ, who confessed to the crime. Items recovered included an iPhone and a wig belonging to the victim. The police are continuing efforts to apprehend other members of the gang. Princ will be charged in court, and River State Police spokesperson Olugbenga Adepoju advised job seekers to exercise caution when meeting individuals from online platforms.
