Seven Kidnappers Arrested, Body of Oluwadamilola Found

Operatives of the Force Intelligence Department, Special Tactical Squad, in collaboration with vigilante operatives and other security agencies, arrested seven suspected members of a kidnapping syndicate operating in the Federal Capital Territory and Kaduna State. The arrests occurred following an operation on October 19, 2026, which led to the recovery of the remains of Miss Oluwadamilola Adedayo from the gang’s camp in Tukuba Forest, Kuje, Abuja.
Miss Adedayo was abducted on August 23, 2026, alongside her mother, Mrs Nancy Adedayo, her 12-year-old brother, David Adedayo, and their housemaid, Jennifer David. The kidnappers released Mrs Adedayo shortly after the abduction to arrange for ransom payment, while the housemaid and David were assaulted and left unconscious.
The family reportedly paid N16.2 million for the release of the children, but the suspects demanded an additional N50 million for Miss Adedayo. The suspects were identified as Ishaka Abdullahi, Abdullahi Dabo, Abubakar Jibrin, Barahu Ibrahim, Sani Mohammed, Alidu Lawal, and Yakubu Abubakar.
The operation also recovered firearms and cash.
