Police Arrest Suspected Cultists and Vandals in Akwa Ibom Crackdown

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has intensified efforts to combat criminal activities by arresting suspected cultists and members of a vandalism gang in separate operations across the state. Two suspected cultists were apprehended in connection with a theft case in Ikpe Usung Ita, Obot Akara Local Government Area.

The suspects, Emmanuel Udo Ukut and Marshall Asuquo John, were found with stolen items and weapons. Additionally, a joint operation involving the police, military, and local vigilantes successfully thwarted an attempted vandalism of an electricity transformer in Ikot Idim village, Ika Local Government Area.

The arrests and operations aim to enhance security and curb criminal activities in the region.
